BearBug Contracting started with a name, not a business plan — it’s built from our founders kids’ nicknames, and that says most of what you need to know about how we operate. This isn’t a franchise or a call center. It’s a family-run company, and every job gets treated like it’s happening in our own home.

Before BearBug, our founder spent over a decade in pipeline and industrial construction — the kind of work where a missed step or a skipped check isn’t a minor inconvenience. That background shapes everything we do now, even something as ordinary as cleaning a carpet. We pre-assess before we treat. We test before we apply. We document every step. It’s more rigor than most cleaning companies bother with, because we come from an industry where rigor wasn’t optional.

Today, BearBug’s carpet and upholstery cleaning division is IICRC CCT certified, and we’re an incorporated Alberta company, licensed to operate in Edmonton. We treat commercial common areas, multi-unit residential buildings, and individual homes with the same process and the same standards, whether it’s one room or five floors.

We’re growing deliberately — new services get added only once we’ve built the foundation to back them up, not before. That’s not a limitation we’re hiding. It’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
